Tony McNeal is a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Florida since 1995. Mr. McNeal has over 25 years experience in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Designing Buildings and Wind Load Analysis
He is the prior administrator of the Coastal Construction Control Line Program with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). Mr. McNeal began his career at the then Department of Natural Resources in November 1985, working as an Engineer in the CCCL Program within the former DEP Bureau of Beaches and Coastal Systems, Division of Beaches and Shores. From there, he held several positions within the Department before being promoted to the administrator's position where he oversaw the processing of over 25,000 permits. Mr. McNeal holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Florida A&M University and undertook training in Structural Engineering from FAMU/FSU College of Engineering. Mr. McNeal has received extensive training in coastal armoring, wind analysis, and storm water runoff management systems over his career. Mr. McNeal is a former member of the Florida Building Code TAC on Special Construction. Mr. McNeal is a recipient of the prestigious Florida Shore and Beach Preservation Association (FSBPA)’s 2019 Jim Purpura/T.Y. Chiu Engineering .
